ITEM DESCRIPTION BELOW:
DESCRIPTION: Sorry No International Buyers on this item. I purchased this over 30 years ago and not sure what fraternal organization but have been told it's masonic. It's been packed up box at home so am downsizing. Anyhow.. it's old probably late 1800's to turn of century. It's a purple velvet color with lots of gold tone metallic embroidering designs and inside edge including the outer fringe edges and tassels. Some flaws but minimal and not too readily noticeable but noted for accuracy. Please read condition paragraph below and view all photos.
CONDITION: Considering age still in useable and good presentable or wearable condition. The purple velvet is faded and some random areas of plush loss in the velvet (mostly at bottom and top areas) but still looks fine and not too readily noticeable till close examination. Has original cloth label of DeMoulin Bros & Co of Illinois (inside top center of vest). ON the inside of fabric edge one small discolored spot and some typical age fading (see picture). There is also a small worn spot in fabric up at the top center (near label) about 1/4" diameter and appears to go through to inside so I'm assuming someone used this spot to hang it up on a nail when not used and or for display. There is some of the metallic fringe missing" (2) areas of two pieces lost AND (2) areas of one piece lost but is not really noticeable again till very close examination. PLEASE VIEW ALL PICTURES AND USE THE ADVANCED IMAGE SERVICE FOR CLOSER UP EXAMINATION.
